The InterLaw Diversity Forum is proud to announce that we will hold our first-ever Student Lab Summer Internship, a one-week event from July 27th to July 31st to support high-potential, diverse students, recent graduates, paralegals and trainees from all UK universities and backgrounds on their career journey by connecting them with their peers, law firms, barristers’ chambers, and corporate institutions through lectures, panel events, and interactive skills-based workshops.
The Student Lab Summer internship is open to applicants from all diverse (LGBT+, BAME, Disability, Gender) or socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Student Lab Summer Internship is exclusively sponsored by BPP University Law School and will take place virtually from 9:00 am –1:30 pm daily on July 27th - 31st.
We've put together a curriculum including legal topics, career paths, and career-ready skills, with a faculty including speakers from private practice, in-house, government, and academia. Our faculty members represent Cooley, Fried Frank, Reed Smith, Weil, Davis Woolfe, Macfarlanes, Dechert, Gowling WLG, Allen & Overy, Winterfeldt IP Group, Mayer Brown, Addleshaw Goddard, Government Legal Department, House of Lords, House of Commons, FCA, BPP University Law School, the Law Society, the SRA, Stonewall, Google, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Expedia, Spotify, Telefonica O2, Just Eat, Inmarsat, Citi, Adecco, T. Rowe Price, Visa, Bank of America, NatWest, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and others.
Given the current climate during the COVID-19 pandemic set across the Black Lives Matter movement and a renewed focus on anti-racism and equality for all in the legal profession, we think this initiative is needed now more than ever to support future lawyers on their career paths.
This event is building on the success of our one-day Student Lab Summit from November 2019.
